Steiner-Pinzetten - Made in Germany

The company Steiner-Pinzetten GmbH (until 2010 Artur Steiner GmbH) is one of the largest manufacturers of forceps for medical and dental needs in Germany.

Artur Steiner founded the company in 1955 as a sole proprietorship for the production and sale of surgical instruments and medical devices. The focus was quickly placed on the production of forceps; the other business segments were discontinued.
The company rapidly developed into a leading mass manufacturer and supplier of forceps. In 1974, today’s company building in Engen had undergone some extensions and was ready for occupancy.

When today’s Managing Director, Gerhard Steiner, joined the company in 1985, the production of customized forceps was intensified and continuously expanded since then.

Since 1.1.2013 the company Bissinger Medizintechnik GmbH is majority shareholder of Steiner-Pinzetten GmbH. Mr. Matthias Bissinger and Mr. Gerhard Steiner are Managing Directors of Steiner-Pinzetten GmbH.

Today, our 20 employees produce approx. 250.000 forceps per year in our production facility in Engen. In this process, we solely collaborate with raw material suppliers from Solingen.

We consider ourselves as a provider and supplier of high-quality forceps for various areas of medical application and also as a partner for realising new product ideas or for solving specific problems in the area of “gripping and holding” with forceps.

The objective of our business policy is to establish and to maintain long-term customer-supplier relationships. To us, this means that we operate economically and on a long-term basis, we comply with and implement legal regulations and current standards and we support our customers in creating their own documentation, if required.

But it is particularly important to us that, due to their quality, all of our forceps convince the user each time they are used, cleaned, sterilized – and that each and every day for many years.
